Sports & Enrichment

At the Waldorf School of Princeton, sports play an important role in the development of students in grades 5-8. Students are introduced to sports as a participatory experience that emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline. As they continue in sports, the focus is on helping students develop into dignified, strong players who do their best against worthy opponents and conduct themselves with pride and grace in competitive situations. Anyone able and willing to participate is welcome. Medical examinations and parent permission are necessary to join our sports teams.

We offer interscholastic cross-country and basketball, with the belief that these athletic activities provide an arena for physical, mental, and social growth in our students.

Our sports program cell phone number is 609-468-0748. Should bad weather result in the need to cancel a practice or meet, there will be a message at the school (609-466-1970, x634) beginning at 1:00 p.m. that day. Parents are responsible for all rides to and from practices and meets/games.

Cross-country

Practices are held after school starting the first full week of September until the final meet in late October or early November.
