from Money Can Heal, Siegfried E. Finser, Co-Founder, Rudolf Steiner Foundation (RSF)
The Waldorf School of Princeton is sustained and enriched through gifts made by parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty and staff, and friends. This generous expression of shared commitment and support ensures that the school will be able to continue to offer the most relevant and inspiring education to children today and for many years to come.
Your support and the contributions of many others enable our school to recruit and retain talented, dedicated teachers, support a full Waldorf curriculum, provide tuition assistance, and maintain and enhance our beautiful campus.
Our need for gift support this year is $175,000, approximately eight percent of our total operating budget for 2010-2011. Gifts to our Annual Fund, proceeds from our Spring Auction, and other fundraising events and activities such as the May Fair, plus revenue from our school store all provide this much-needed support for our school.
The Annual Fund provides a critical top five percent of the Waldorf School of Princeton's annual operating budget and provides our school with resources to be used where the need is greatest. Gifts to the Annual Fund support such areas as faculty professional development, academic, artistic, and athletic programs, campus maintenance, and tuition assistance. Since tuition covers 85 percent of annual operating expenses, gifts to this fund are essential.
The 2010-2011 Annual Fund goal is $115,000 and the campaign ends on June 30, 2011. Participation with all size gifts is needed.
Your tax-deductible gift can be made by cash, check, credit card, or securities, and can be made in one single payment or in installments. Make sure to ask if your employer or your spouse's employer has a matching gift program. For questions about the Annual Fund, please contact Diane Barlow, director of development, 609-466-1970 X115, development@princetonwaldorf.org

For the past several years, the Auction has provided a venue for the community to support an area of particular need in the school. Areas of past support have included the greenhouse and classroom furnishings and are referred to as a Gift of Love.
The 2010 Gift of Love is dedicated to growing our scholarship fund. Many of our families are facing financial challenges never before experienced and the school is doing everything in its power to assist these families so that students can remain in the school. In addition, the school's commitment to making a Waldorf education accessible to all students is crucial to its mission of building a community that reflects our diverse society and to strengthening its enrollment.
At the Four Seasons Auction held on April 24, 2010 we offered $250 Scholarship Certificates in support of a special needs-based Scholarship Program for the 2010-2011 school year. If you would like to join in this endeavor by making a contribution, please contact Diane in the Development Office, development@princetonwaldorf.org, or call 609-466-1970 X115. Certificates valued at less than $250 are also available. The Gift of Love is fully tax-deductible.
