Other Ways to Give

In addition to the many ways you can help support the school with your time and talents, Waldorf School of Princeton is immensely grateful for any and all financial and material support. Although gifts to the Annual Fund are actively requested each year, there are several other ways to direct your enthusiasm for our unique education.

Endowment Funds

The Waldorf School of Princeton gratefully accepts gifts of all sizes to our endowment funds. Contributions are permanently invested and the principal of these funds remains intact providing financial security and stability for our school now and in the future.

General Endowment Fund

The revenue generated from this fund is used throughout the school year as needed. This year, 2.5 percent of all gifts made to the Annual Fund will be contributed to the General Endowment Fund established in 2008 through the Princeton Area Community Foundation.

Elan Leibner Endowed Scholarship Fund

The purpose of this fund is to provide tuition assistance.

The Finance Committee of the Waldorf School of Princeton is responsible for monitoring the performance of the endowment fund investments and for making investment recommendations to the school’s Board.

Planned Gifts

There are many ways to support the school by making a planned gift. A bequest naming the Waldorf School of Princeton as a beneficiary in your will is the simplest form. Charitable gift annuities, life insurance, remainder trusts, and other types of deferred giving might be appropriate for you and should be planned in consultation with your financial advisor or tax accountant.

The Development Office is available to assist if you are interested in establishing a planned gift. Please contact Laila Wilson, development director, 609-466-1970, x121, development@princetonwaldorf.org

The Michael Society

In 2009 the school inaugurated The Michael Society, a society formed to honor individuals who have remembered the Waldorf School of Princeton in their estate plans. To register your name or to learn more about including a gift to WSP in your estate plan through a provision in your will, living trust, IRA, retirement plan, or insurance policy, please contact Laila Wilson, development director, 609-466-1970, x121, development@princetonwaldorf.org

Gifts in Kind

The school welcomes donations of products and services in addition to financial contributions. These may include tangible items such as furniture and equipment or needed services such as architectural design, painting and repairs, or design and printing services.

Please understand that the school might not be able to accept all items, and donations might be declined if items cannot be used or readily sold. If you would like to make an in-kind gift, please contact Laila Wilson, development director, 609-466-1970, x121, development@princetonwaldorf.org
