At the Waldorf School of Princeton, sports play an important role in the development of students from grades 5-8. Students are introduced to sports as a participatory experience that emphasizes team work, sportsmanship, and discipline. As they continue in sports, the focus is on helping students develop into dignified, strong players who do their best against worthy opponents and conduct themselves with pride and grace in competitive situations. Anyone able and willing to participate is welcome. Medical examinations and parent permission are necessary to join our sports teams.
We offer Cross-country, Basketball, and Tennis with the belief that these athletic activities provide an arena for physical, mental, and social growth of our students.
Our sports program cell phone number is 609-468-0748. Should bad weather result in the need to cancel, there will be a message at the school, 609-466-1970, x634 beginning at 1:00 p.m. that day. Parents are responsible for all rides to and from practices and meets/games.
Practices are held after school until 4:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning the first full week of September until the End of Season meet.
The basketball program runs from mid-November to mid-February. Practices are held after school on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. at the Whiteley Gymnasium at Princeton Theological Seminary.*
