Parent's Page

Because we are an independent, non-profit institution, parent participation is essential to the school's well-being. Children both learn from the volunteering spirit modeled by their parents, and perform better when parents are interested and involved in their education. To sustain, nourish and renew our community, parent support is needed for:
  • festivals and fairs
  • class activities such as plays and field trips
  • open houses
  • fund-raising events
  • building and grounds maintenance and improvements
  • workshops and lectures
  • committees for the Board of Trustees

Parents can find opportunities to participate through the following channels:

The Parent Representatives, two per class, are chosen by the class teacher. They are responsible for supporting their respective class teachers and parents by helping to organize class activities and field trips, promoting school-wide initiatives and communicating information to families.

The Parent Council is an organization composed of Parent Representatives that supports, educates and connects the parent body to the rest of the school. It works in tandem with the Faculty, the Board of Trustees, and the Administration.

Ambassadors support the school by reaching out into the wider community and spreading the word about the Waldorf School of Princeton. Ambassadors also support families new to the school as they navigate in their first year.
