Faculty Chair

After Care Teacher 2014-15

We are looking for an individual who enjoys working with groups of children ranging in age from 4 to 14. Prior teaching experience is necessary. Important aspects of this position include creating a fun, yet relaxed atmosphere, enjoyment of the outdoors, and attention to safety. This position is part-time, hourly, Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, and Wednesdays from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM. The After School Teacher must purchase and prepare a healthy snack, channel children to workshops or study hall, and develop a seasonal or weekly rhythm for the group of children that would remain with the After School Teacher. Gardening Assistant

The assistant works with the head gardening teacher to manage gardening classes and maintain the physical garden. The assistant will work with children ages 8 through 14 in a variety of class and outdoor conditions. The work involves both directing and managing an outdoor classroom, as well as physical gardening work, set up, and clean up. The assistant is also responsible for weekly cooking with small groups of students. The position is 15 hours/week.

Lead Camp Counselor: Theater

Dates Needed: July 14-25, 2014 (Session II)
Hours: 12pm-3:30pm
Our camp theater program exposes campers to a variety of acting techniques including improvisation, character development, and voice. Campers will learn stage choreography. There will also be time for outdoor games, wading in the creek and simply enjoying the natural environment of our beautiful campus. Camp Counselors must be at least 18 years of age and must successfully pass a Criminal History Background check.
